Living in Downtown Los Angeles but being originally from the Hill Country of Texas, I feel a bit like a fish out of water, but I seem to do O.K. I hope to be able to return to a rural life, some day. But in the meantime, or if not, I try to stick close to my roots. I still mostly wear boots and jeans, sometimes with a hat, but I am also comfortable wearing ties or tennis shoes. I`m pretty much a regular Joe, but I have a crazy streak from time to time! I am looking for someone who can appreciate that, whether they are a friend, boyfriend, or partner.
Kind of a Punk/Cowboy/MarthaStewart/Philosopher/Adveturer, my tastes vary widely, from symphonies and museum to live bands and films (all kinds), from country and bluegrass to punk and pop, from reading to doing! I cook, clean, and sew, but I also hike, ride horses, and do manual labor (it does the soul good to spend time in physical work).
I have a pretty busy schedule because I feel that I need to give of myself to my communities as much as they do to me, if not more so. I do mission work on skid row and teach cooperative conduct (etiquette) and independent living classes to persons in transitional housing.
