1. Looking for chivalry! I moved to the Ottawa/Gatineau Region three years ago with my dogs when I took a teaching position in Hull. My brother, who has been in this region for a while was thrilled, because he finally had a personal chef, at least twice a week when he`s over for dinner! My students, and their parents, take up a good amount of my time...the life of a special needs teacher, but I'm very good at putting them on the back burner to enjoy a fun day or a romantic evening. I love spending time outdoor, either with the dogs, or just with friends skiing, dinner, game nights or just out having a great time. I'm a big believer in generosity and volunteering and enjoy giving back to others and showing appreciation, but at the same time I'm not afraid to stand up for what I believe in and I don't easily get embarrassed or intimidated. I have three favourite quotes that I try to remember everyday of my life. The first I saw on the wall of Westminster Abbey: Whosoever will be chief amongst you, let him be your servant. The second I heard one day on CFRA: The day will come when all you have left to stand on, is what you stood for. And the third is from poet Ogden Nash: You are only young once, but you can stay immature indefinitely! One of the big things I have to admit right off the bat is that I`m an early riser. My days usually start around 4:30am because of the dogs and because I have to be at school for 7am because of my extra-curricular responsibilities...I coach high school volleyball and have other early morning duties at school! But, this early morning start doesn`t mean an early evening bed time, I just like to keep on top of things in my life!
