When I think of what I want and who I would be interested in, several aspects-e to mind. For instanc
e, I am interested in people who at least have an idea of who they are, what they want, and where they are headed--in general. On a more personal level, I am interested in people who are not afraid to love and be loved. People who realize that there are risks to be taken but the rewards outweigh the risks. People who are not afraid to open themselves and let others into their lives, especially when it-es to sincere, honest, and real relationships. People who realize that relationships, whatever form that may end up being, require effort, time, and energy. Though I am not looking for a relationship, I am open to one should the interest and sentiments be mutual. I am very romantic but at the same time I am a realist. Above all, I want to be surrounded by real people. A friend of mine once told me "your friends are your chosen family." I don`t think she realized what an impact those words would have on me. I had no choice as to who my family would be. However, it very much up to me to design the caliber of the "family" I choose. There is a phrase that I really like and it helps to explain my personal philosophy. "Water seeks it own level." If you pour water into a "U" shaped tube or pipe, eventually it would balance itself and if you were to somehow divide it in half, each side would have equal volume. The same works with people. If what I want is honesty, truth, substance, and character, then I should be able to offer the same to others. Unto lighter themes... I enjoy dancing, but I`m not into the bar scene. I like to dine at fine restaurants just as much as putting together a meal at home. I enjoy going to the movies just as well as cuddling on the couch and watching a video. I like good wine, to travel, work-out, play racquetball.
