Intelligent, sincere woman seeking life partner It is said that you miss 100 percent of the shots you never take, so I am here to take a shot.... Lets face it - we have had our share of lackluster relationships. Isnt it about time that two intelligent, professional people connect? I am not talking about a hook up. Rather, something that will turn into a lasting relationship. You know... merge lives, commit, nest, whatever you want to call it. How did 2007 pass by and we have nothing to show for it, in terms of love? I have not had a problem finding dates, but havent had luck finding someone that I click 100 percent with. Perhaps I am setting the bar too high, but it is what it is. And I may be a big girl, but I am far from desperate. I need someone that is honest and upfront about what she is looking for. I do not want to be strung along for the ride. I am seeking a positive, thoughtful woman with a good head on her shoulders and the ability to laugh at the absurdity of life. Old-fashioned romantics and geeky rebels are encouraged to respond! I tend to go for women who are either really quiet/intellectual types or extremely outgoing/funny/adventurous gals who will outshine me in social situations. I appreciate kind-hearted, genuine, confident women. I would like to meet someone who is not afraid of being a "WE" or an "US"....even in public. I want commitment, communication, and someone who still believes in Santa, the Easter Bunny and the Great Pumpkin. I am looking for someone intelligent with an odd sense of humor. I do not care how much money you make, but I do expect you to be independent and have ambition. If you are looking for an ultra girly-girl I am not that. I am casual and free-spirited....a real t-shirt and jeans kind of girl. I enjoy getting out and exploring what life has to offer, as well as kicking back and cuddling on the couch at the end of a long day. My interests are varied, and I love to try new things. I have an above average IQ and I like doing nerdy stuff (Scrabble, puzzles, Trivial Pursuit), creative stuff (building things, arts and crafts, creative baking), typical fun stuff (going to comedy clubs, concerts, hitting up cool museum exhibitions) and lots of other things. I can be romantic and do sweet things and buy small presents and cook you a romantic dinner. I will answer when you call and be there when you want me to be. I love to travel and want someone to do that with me. I also love sports, especially college football. And did I mention that I have a goofy, silly side? I love to laugh. I also have my act together (a career I love, activities I enjoy, close relationships with friends and family) and prefer that you do too. Please understand that I have had relationships with men, and have walked away from those relationships feeling hollow...like something was missing. I`m not a man hater, but I have grown apathetic, I guess. Yes, I`ve done my share of experimentation, but those days are over for me, and I hope they are for you, as well. So here is what I am thinking: You will write me an email and I`ll respond. We`ll talk about this or that and agree that "you seem cool" and that we should meet up. So we will take two seperate cars to the same part of town and discuss terribly unimportant matters over some sort of drinks. The laughter will fade into the exchanging of phone numbers and date setting for round two. We will fall in love and have earth shattering sex. Our nights will be spent walking around town pointing out condos with `for sale by owner` signs in the big bay windows. We will fight a little, like all couples do, but then we will think about that time that we were at park and that really hilarious thing happened and then we wont be so angry anymore, which is good because I hate the way your nose flares when you yell.
