Masc., cleancut baseball guy looking for similar A little about me and what kind of guy I'm hoping to find: I'm a masculine, cleancut guy who leans toward the conservative end of things with respect to mannerisms, lifestyle, values, and all that other stuff. Part of me is a bit laid back, living a simple life, and10ding to be a bit quiet and reserved (some may say shy, but I don't think so). Despite this, another part of me knows I'm rather goofy, fun to be around, off the wall, very straightforward if not downright blunt (I10d to say what I mean and not care what others think), opinionated & outspoken--Lord, am I ever outspoken!--witty, clever, and more. The more part? In spite of all my faults and human frailties, what always shines forth is my heart. While I may not wear it on my sleeve, and while I often internalize many of my emotions, I truly do care about others and absolutely LOVE making others laugh and smile and be happy. I do not hide the fact that I'm a rather unique individual. How many guys out there do you know who are NCAA (college) baseball umpires? That's me all right. I've been involved in sports all my life, and have been an umpire since I was a kid. I'm a renowned and well-respected college baseball umpire, and damn proud of it. I played baseball for years, along with football (my second love). Simply put, I'm an avid sports guy and would realistically expect you to be as well, or at least somewhat interested in sports and regular guy things. Because of my involvement with college athletics, however, I'm unfortunately forced to remain in the closet, at least to most people. I may not like it, but I have no choice at this time. My ideal mate would be someone who would at least understand and accept this and not expect me to be the poster boy for someone coming out in the college sports world. I have no interest in being someone's political cause. Back to me as a person--I also10d to be rather spontaneous. I'm known for doing things for friends, things that surprises the heck out of people yet brings joy or happiness to them. I'm also known for being the wise sage to whom my friends and family turn for advice--why, I don't know, but if I can help someone, I'm game! My Ideal Person: With the thousands of people on this site,1 would think there's got to be SOMEbody out there who can carry a conversation for more than 60 seconds and utilize more than10 words while doing so. If you think you're1 of these people who can, step right up to the plate! ;-) So what, or whom, am I looking for? Quite honestly, I can't explain it that easily. Oh, sure, the "easy" part is the age range and physical type--I admit I'm looking for someone in his 20s or 30s and someone who is definitely masculine (I just happen to drool over guys with hairy arms and hairy legs!)--but I guess the best and most honest way to explain my wants is to say I'd love to find someone with whom I can spend quality time, and no, this doesn't necessarily mean a1-time roll in the sack; rather, I would be thrilled to find a guy with whom I can go out, catch a movie, walk along the lake (I'm1 suburbanite who does appreciate what the city has to offer), go out to dinner, go to Rib Fest, Taste of Chicago, or other such cool events, go to Great America (I haven't been there in probably 20 years or more), catch a ball game, and more. I would be so honored, so touched, if this guy would also love to attend a ball game or2 of mine. I'd love it if I knew you were in the stands watching me do what I love to do so much--umpire a baseball game--while at the same time just enjoying watching the game itself (yeah, yeah, checking out all those hot college studs playing IS a fringe benefit, hehe). I'd love to find that guy who'd be able to give me a hug, rub the top of my head, and tell me something like, "You're so cool, you goof ball." In turn, I would hopefully be able to bring some fun into YOUR life, make you laugh and smile, give YOU supportive hugs and all. How cool would that be, huh? I realize this is a rather lofty dream I may have, but if I'm lucky, perhaps there's someone like that out there.
