I am nearly4 years out of a 13-year same-sex relationship, and am ready to try to start dating. I am nearly4 years out of a 13-year same-sex relationship, and am ready to try to start dating. Not looking for sex; I want there to be an emotional bond before that. I am an open & out person, and consider myself honest--I'm HIV+, have been for about 17 years, only just started on medication, and am in good health. As1 friend commented to me, "you're amazing!". Must be the Italian and Danish heritage--both can be long-lived, and healty. Enough olive oil and you can live forever, right? ;-) I'm caring, and giving. I've given more to AIDS Services than I've yet asked for or received. Don't even care about writing them off on taxes. What I'm looking for...someone who can deal with my HIV status; who DOES NOT smoke; only drinks in moderation, such as with a meal, if at all; who likes going out to the movies, or watching DVD's cuddling at home. The cuddling part is important--my ex and I rarely did. I'm not in on the club scene--did that after I first came out; that's where I got infected with HIV. All it takes is1 person--I'm proof positive (pardon the pun :-) of that. I love science fiction (and non-science 'sci-fi', too), GLBT-themed shows (even if minimal), and have quite a collection of DVD's, and order more as they come out. Well, this is getting a bit long--I'm known as a rather *verbose* writer. Well, yes I am. Maybe I should write a novel or something--do my life history, as boring as it may be...
