I have recently relocated to Texas and fell-into the Dallas area. I literally knew only2 people w I have recently relocated to Texas and fell-into the Dallas area. I literally knew only2 people when I moved here and have no clue where to start to meet others. I very rarely will ever make the first move to meet someone new, as I'm rather shy at first. But I10d to open-up more as I get to know someone better. I hope to develop a strong base of friends, and, eventually, through those friends (or possibly FROM those friends) find a date or a more serious relationship. I currently live alone, but hope to find a roommate before I get back to school this fall at UNT (I'll be a music major). I10d to spend my time working, and have developed the bad habit of keeping to myself in my free time. I'm looking to develop a broader social circle. I am not interested in the 'typical' gay scene. I do not enjoy 'clubs' and would probably be content classified as a homebody/nester. I DO enjoy hanging out with friends, doing things with friends, experiencing new things, etc. I'm fairly open-minded and definitely have an intellectual and complex mind. I am a good friend and seek quality over quantity always. I have2 dogs, and enjoy having them around (most of the time). I like to talk about cars, music, philosophy, or just about anything with a good conversationalist. Here are some areas of interest to help you figure out some of my personality.... * MOVIES: I like comedies, some action movies, dramatic/emotional things, sci-fi/fantasy, etc. I'm fairly easy to please, yet am enough of a connoisseur to recognize and appreciate a quality film. * MUSICAL TASTES: Eclectic tastes. Just about anything with a good, singable melody and/or some awesome harmonies. I generally steer away from repetitive or predictable music if it doesn't have redeemingly good lyrics or an interesting chord progression. I enjoy jazz, blues, swing, broadway, country, folk, pop, rock, 60's R&B, etc. * BOOKS: I've been hooked on the Wheel of Time Series, the Earth's Children series, etc. I like philosophical books, self-improvement, thought-provoking, or anything that can hold my interest after the first chapter or so. I even enjoy those classics that you may have been required to read in English classes in school.... * IDEAL VACATION: I have always wanted to see New Zealand. Otherwise, I'm not much of a traveler. I'm more into people than places, although seeing and experiencing new environments is always of interest. * FAVORITE FOODS: I like Italian food a lot. I think it's the widespread use of tomatoes... Gourmet types of cuisine intrigue me. I like things that are creative, fresh, and am thinking of converting back to vegetarianism for the health benefits. I'd even consider going vegan if I could gather the willpower to avoid cheese. Cheese is good. (c; Ideally, I would like to spend free time hanging out with friends, reading interesting books, learning to play various musical instruments, etc. (If you know how to play something and would love an opportunity to teach someone, let me know!) I like playing video games, computer games, board games, card games -- but no mind games. I like discussions long into the night, hanging out with interesting people, hanging out with fun people, and enjoying life in any LEGAL way. I enjoy being an 'active' or 'sporty' type, but am equally as happy sitting at home curled up on the couch. I really would like to find a few friends to help draw me out of my shell a bit more and encourage me to try some new things. * WANT TO CONTACT ME?
