(I grew up in Michigan`s Upper Peninsula.)
And oh yeah, as a hairy man, I don`t know if I`d call myself a "bear" as I`m not of the beefy and burly type [email] lbs here), nor have I made a practice of hanging out in bear bar events. (It can be hard for me to hear your voice or lipread you in an environment where the music is too loud and/or the lighting is too dim.) I just like the idea that after years of being too thin and/or too hairy to fit in the so-called twink standard that was perpetuated in bars for far too long, I can finally have the option of being accepted *AS I AM*. :-)
