I love sci fi and fantasy and other nerdy pursuits, and I love having ridiculously involved conversations analysing nerdy things. In addition to the sci-fi/fantasy nerd side of me, I recently discovered some documentary channels on my TV and LOVE watching them. I have learned more about blue whales, the marriage practices of rural India and the indigenous peoples of the Amazon in the past month than I would have thought humanly possible.
I am also a Christian, and my faith is important to me. I’ve recently reconciled my faith and my sexuality, and so am now gingerly entering the dating pool.
I am also a preschool teacher who loves her job very much. If I’m not talking about something intensely nerdy, chances are I’m talking about ‘my kids’. My job brings me a lot of joy and satisfaction.
My tastes in music are quite varied, although I am not a fan of country. My favourite musician is Ani Difranco… I think she’s genius.
